Sean, Parent from London

Yanella from Toronto

Yanella’s toddler with Autism used to melt down instead of communicating what he wanted. After only 10 days of working together, Erin introduced pictures and paired the words for the pictures as Erin handed them to him. Erin saved her own picture for the end and when Erin handed it to him, he said, “Mama,” and he kissed her picture! Yanella went from struggling with communication and behaviour to having her son calmly bringing her pictures to show her what he wants.

Sean and Regina in London

Sean and Regina’s 3 year old son with Autism used to rely on a bottle to sleep. His excessive nighttime milk intake interfered with daytime meals and sleeping. After 10 weeks their son was weaned off the bottle and his milk intake was 100% happening during the daytime. He no longer relies on the bottle to fall asleep or get back to sleep.

Kristen and Phil

Kristen and Phil didn’t know where to begin to prepare their daughter with Autism to start kindergarten. After 10 weeks of working with Erin on school readiness and toileting, they went from coping with frustrating problem-behaviours to their daughter sitting focused at the table, following routines and wearing underwear during the day. On the first day of school she walked into her class like it was a piece of cake!

Kailee and Alex from London

Kaylee and Alex adopted 12-year old twin boys, one has Autism. At first, they experienced many unpredictable, challenging, problem-behaviours like long meltdowns, toileting regression, refusals and sudden aggression toward himself and his new family. After 10 weeks of working with Erin on using practical, creative systems, ALL problem-behaviours were significantly reduced and their home-life is predictable, calm and safe.

Shelley from London

When we first contacted Erin, we were unsure if it would be a good fit for us. Our son Finley had no diagnosis, and we were still in the early stages of figuring out if he was on the spectrum. We knew we needed something to help him NOW and we were facing an 18-month waitlist. Finn’s behaviour was a constant struggle, and it felt like the “Finn show” all the time. We felt lost and frustrated, and there were many tears shed by all of us.

Erin immediately saw Finn for who he was and understood him, even after just a brief meeting. She provided us with step-by-step instructions to help Finn, Paul, and me. The progress was gradual, and we weren’t sure if the steps and tools we were using were working until we experienced the effects of Erin’s coaching first hand, in public places – we didn’t have to deal with big tantrums or emotions about leaving. The struggles to get Finn into the bathtub decreased. Erin has brought significant change in our lives. Our life looks calmer and less stressful. We are grateful for Erin’s support and cheerleading for our family.

Jim and Joyce from London

Jim and Joyce didn’t know how to keep their 3 year old grandson safe when he was with them during the day while his parents were at work. They suspected he had Autism and their entire family worked as a team with Erin to establish a safe, calm and predictable daycare environment with grandparents. They no longer have to carry him to the car to keep him safe.

Principal, Sue Bruyns of TVDSB

I first-hand witnessed Erin in the school setting provide clarity and a sense of calm for families beginning their journey with Autism. During our team meetings with parents, caregivers and doctors, Erin articulated well-crafted plans of support for our students. She knows first-hand how families struggle with initial steps to get support, how to navigate the funding mazes and access community programs. If you are a family new to Autism, call Erin.
